Single storey front and single / two storey rear extensions to provide a more attractive frontage as well as a better use of space and additional living accommodation internally.  The extensions were carefully designed to complement the existing building and its surroundings.  The single storey front extension and increased ridge height provides a more uniform front elevation that enhances the street scene.  It was considered appropriate for the single storey front extension to be of traditional design to match the existing dwelling and for the single / two storey rear extension to be of a more contemporary design.
